Tommy Stewart is a contemporary shorebird carver and painter. His concentration and discipline is centered around his life-like qualities in his work, design, and composition. Through a history of acclaimed worlds, Tommy has studied shorebird anatomy and color theory, advancing in this art form and mentoring aspiring artists, adding that he too, as an artist, is a lifelong student.

2008- the International Wildfowl Carvers Association, “Shorebird Champion.”
2010, 2011- The Ward World Championship, “Best in Division”
2023, 2024- The Ward World Championship, third “Best in World”
2024- Awarded a Fellowship from the New York Council of the Arts
