Gaston Isadore carved his high quality puddle duck decoys between the 1920’s and 1940’s. The birds he produced have carved wings and aesthetically pleasing paint patterns that combine blending and scratch feathering. It is possible that his style influenced the carving team of LaFrance, Frederick and Joefrau. Little more is known about this carver and his work, because hurricanes claimed so many of his decoys.
