Jim Higgins is a professional decoy maker, teacher and author. Through his business, the Sneakbox Decoy Company, he has made and sold in excess of 1000 cork and wooden decoys, and he has taught dozens of children and adults the art of decoy making. His love of waterfowl and duck hunting, led him, in 1974 to make his first decoy and subsequently he honed his skills during ari apprenticeship to Master decoy maker Charles F Murphy (Working Plans For Working Decoys) He holds a Master’s Degree in Waterfowl Biology and lives in a 200 year old farm house in rural Maine with his wife of 55 years, Elizabeth.
