Ken Basile

Ken Basile has a BA in history from the University of Maryland and an MA in Art/Museum Studies from the University of Delaware. He worked as the curatorial assistant to the director of the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum in St. Michaels, Maryland. He was the administrator of the Genesee Country Museum, Mumford, New York in the mid 1980s. Basile was the founding director emeritus of the Ward Museum of Wildfowl Art, Salisbury University, Salisbury, Maryland and was director of the museum for twenty years. He is a noted authority on North American decoys and decorative bird carvings.
