( - )

Lionel Dwyer was introduced to duck hunting and the art of decoy carving by his uncle at the age of 13. Today, he is an avid sportsman and bird watcher with a firm knowledge of wildfowl carving, from both an anatomical and technical perspective. Lionel carves both hunting decoys as well as highly detailed decorative sculptures. He resides in Port Perry, Ontario, and is a regular winner in the professional class at major shows across the United States and Canada. In 2011 he received Best in World Decorative Life-size Waterfowl Pair at the Ward World Championship Wildfowl Carving Competition. When not at work in his dental lab, you can find Lionel fishing, hunting, or working on a competitive or commissioned piece.
