Lonnie Dye has been carving birds since the late 70’s from his studio in Fort Worth, Texas. He works in both life-size and miniatures, preferring to focus on songbirds and birds of prey. He competes and judges at various shows across the United States, and is exhibited at the prestigious Easton Waterfowl Festival in Easton, Maryland. He also teaches carving through seminars, demonstration articles, and various books such as Workbench Project: Miniature Prairie Falcon, and Workbench Project: Loggerhead Shrike.
