Throughout his career Peter Zaluzec has won numerous awards. A graduate of the Art Institute of Chicago, where he received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, Zaluzec was the winner of the title ‘World Champion Carver’ three years in a row. His piece “Bateleur Eagle” won the Elliot Liskin Memorial Award and was later selected by the Society of Animal Artists for their “Art and the Animal 40th Anniversary” show held at the National Geographic Society in Washington.
Today his work is on exhibit at the Ward Museum of Wildfowl Art in Salisbury, Maryland, the Horizons Art Gallery in Jackson, Wyoming, the Niemi Sculpture Gallery and Garden in Kenosha, Wisconsin, the Robert T. Wright Community Art Gallery in Grayslake, Illinois, and the Fine Line Design Gallery in Door County, Wisconsin.
