Planned Giving for the Ward Foundation
The Wild Goose Society recognizes and honors those friends and members of the Ward Foundation who has made a commitment to the future of this organization by including the Foundation in their estate plans. You can help ensure the Ward Foundation’s future with flexible options other than cash donations through planned giving.
The Wild Goose Society Planned Giving Options
For the long-term sustainability of the Ward Foundation, gifts to the endowment can be made in several ways.
Bequests
One of the simplest ways to support the Museum’s future; a bequest from your will or your revocable trust provides a direct gift for the Ward Foundation. You can designate the purpose of the gift, or it can serve the ongoing operations of the Foundation.
Beneficiary Designation
A simple way to include the Foundation in your estate plan is to name the museum as a beneficiary of your life insurance policy, retirement plan, IRA, or brokerage account by filling out a beneficiary designation form from your plan provider or administrator.
Charitable Gift Annuities/ Charitable Trusts
These estate planning vehicles can create income streams that support the financial future of you or your heirs and tax-advantaged funding for the Ward Foundation.
Making a Planned Gift
The Ward Foundation has relationships with the Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore and other agencies. These agencies or your personal financial advisor can assist you with these planned giving options.
