Half-Day Drawing Class with Josh Guge
April 25 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
$75CLASS IS SOLD OUT.
Over the years, Josh has had countless bird carving students telling him they don’t know how to draw. Drawing is the foundation for any art form; woodcarving is no exception to this rule. If you have always wanted to know how to draw correctly this is your chance. Maybe you are comfortable sketching but you struggle to create a good pattern for a cutout? Have you ever wanted to learn how to capture the detail of a bird in the few seconds it’s holding still? This class will give you a new perspective on drawing. Students will learn the techniques that will help get their artwork to the next level. Both beginner and advanced students are welcome!
- Learn how to break down complicated subject matter into simple components.
- Learn how to draw fast and accurately.
- Learn how to turn a sketch into a successful pattern.
- Learn how to turn your pattern into a 3-D sculpture.
Josh will provide some study aids for the class. Students are responsible for bringing the following supplies:
- Pencil
- Eraser
- Pencil sharpener
- Scissors
